Windstar’s all-suite Star Legend transports guests across the Mediterranean with all the luxury and style Windstar Cruises is known for. Star Legend recently underwent a complete renovation as part of Windstar’s $250 Million Star Plus Initiative to enhance vessels in its fleet.

Newly-Updated

The initiative transformed three of its vessels – including the Star Legend – with new suites, restaurants, and a world-class spa and fitness center. It involved lengthening the ship and adding additional space for guests, though the intimate vessel still carries a maximum of just 312 guests in 156 guest suites.

Dining Spaces

The renovation and refurbishment added new spaces to the ship, including new dining options. The Star Legend now boasts indoor and outdoor dining at the Star Grill, Candles, Veranda, Cuadro 44 by Anthony Sasso, and more.

Yacht Club

The ship provides incredible common spaces with Windstar Cruises’ classic, upscale and luxurious design. Areas like the Yacht Club are popular for after-dinner drinks, board games, and socializing, while Compass Rose provides live music and evening entertainment.

Spacious Suites

Star Legend‘s spacious all-suite design provides at least 277 square feet of space per suite, with ocean views from every room and details you might never expect on a cruise ship. Luxurious bath amenities from L’Occitane, stylish furnishings, and even a walk-in closet in the new Star Balcony Suites complete the experience.

Star Legend’s spacious pool deck is perfect for enjoying sunny Mediterranean skies, even in the cooler temperatures of winter. The ship’s smaller size and slimmed-down passenger list means there’s no fighting over pool chairs or pool space here.

Cuadro 44

One of the Star Legend‘s new dining additions is Cuadro 44 by Anthony Sasso. The exclusive spot boasts a Spanish-inspired menu by one of the youngest chefs to be recognized by the Michelin Guide. It’s a perfect addition to travelers’ experiences as they cruise the Mediterranean.

Hitting the Seas

After pivoting to a first-ever winter cruise season in the Mediterranean at the end of 2023, Windstar Cruises has announced its intent to keep Star Legend sailing in the region for another winter season. Itineraries will include major European ports like Civitavecchia (Rome) and Barcelona, as well as tucked-away ports and hidden coastal gems only accessible to smaller ships like Windstar’s Star Legend.

Positive Pivot

Windstar’s first-ever winter Mediterranean cruise season has provided guests with the opportunity to explore the allure of the Mediterranean year-round. Positive feedback and an influx of bookings have led the luxury small-ship cruise line to extend and enhance its winter Mediterranean sailings in 2024/2025.

Avoid the Crowds

It’s an incredible way to avoid the crowds at some of Europe’s most popular locations during busier-than-ever summer high seasons that have seen destinations packed with travelers. Windstar’s 2024/2025 winter Mediterranean sailing itineraries will include an even greater diversity of ports and durations of sails.

Barcelona and Beyond
